What this page covers
OpenQRS is built with open-source software. This page lists what runs in your browser, what only runs while the site is being built, and the licence and copyright notice for each. The site's own source code is not published under an open-source licence.
Everything listed here is served from this domain, bundled into the site's own files. Nothing is fetched from a package CDN at runtime, so no third party learns that you visited.
qrcode-generator
Version 2.0.4, MIT licence. This is the encoder: it takes the finished payload string and produces the module matrix — which squares are dark — including the mode selection, the Reed-Solomon error correction and the mask evaluation. It has no dependencies of its own. Everything above it on this site is written in this repository: the payload builders, the SVG and canvas renderers, the shape geometry, the gradients, the logo compositing and the exporters.
The package ships no separate licence file; the notice below is the header of its own source file, and its package metadata declares the MIT licence and names the same author.

Preact
Version 10.29.8, MIT licence. Preact renders the interactive workspace on a generator page — the form, the live preview and the style controls. It is used instead of React because it provides the same component model at a fraction of the download, which matters on a page whose entire purpose is to draw one picture.

Preact Signals
Version 2.11.1, MIT licence, together with its own dependency @preact/signals-core, also MIT and carrying the same notice. Signals hold the workspace state, so that changing one field redraws the preview without re-rendering the rest of the form.

Astro
Version 7.2.2, MIT licence. Astro builds every page of this site into static HTML ahead of time. Most of it runs only at build time, but its island runtime — the small amount of code that mounts an interactive component into an otherwise static page — is part of what a generator page loads, which is why it is listed here rather than under tooling.
MIT License

Astro's licence file carries two further MIT notices for portions of its source that originated elsewhere: one for code from the SvelteKit project, attributed to the SvelteKit contributors, and one reading "Copyright (c) 2019-present, Yuxi (Evan) You and Vite contributors".
The Preact integration for Astro
Version 6.0.2, MIT licence. This connects the two: it renders Preact components to HTML during the build and hydrates the workspace in the browser. Its licence file carries the same notices as Astro's.
MIT License
Copyright (c) 2021 Fred K. Schott
It brings in preact-render-to-string, MIT licensed, which turns the components into HTML at build time. Its notice reads "The MIT License (MIT) — Copyright (c) 2015 Jason Miller".
The MIT licence text
Every component above is MIT licensed and each ships the same permission text, reproduced once here in full:

Geist
SIL Open Font License 1.1. Geist is the typeface this site sets its text in. One variable font file covering the weights 300 to 700, subset to the Latin range, is served from this domain like every other file here, so no font service is contacted and no third party learns you were here. The full licence text ships beside it, at /fonts/Geist-OFL.txt, and the notice below is quoted from it.

Build and test tooling
None of the following is distributed with the site — they produce it and check it, and no part of them reaches your browser. They are listed because knowing how a page was built is part of being able to judge it.
- TypeScript 5.9.3, Apache-2.0 licence.
- Vite 8.2.1, MIT licence.
- Vitest 4.1.10, MIT licence.
- Playwright 1.62.1, Apache-2.0 licence.
- axe-core 4.13.0 and its Playwright integration, Mozilla Public License 2.0. These run the automated accessibility checks described on the accessibility page.
- happy-dom 20.11.2, MIT licence, used to run unit tests against a DOM.

Corrections
If a notice here is incomplete or wrong — a missing attribution, a licence changed upstream, a component that should be listed — write to the address on the contact page and it will be fixed.
